Celestion 100 Outstanding sound. Successor to Celestion SL6 Si. Light wood

Pair of Celestion Model 100s. Highly reviewed successor to the SL6 series. This was Celestions super high-end bookshelf/standmount speaker from the early to mid 90s. Unbelievable neutral/natural sounding speaker with great imaging and depth. Bi-wireable as well.

For those who have followed me as a seller, you know I am a collector of bookshelf speakers. On a trip to Great Britain about 2 years ago, I met a former Celestion rep from the London area at a high end shop, and ended up purchasing a couple pairs of his speakers and sending them home to the US. I bought 2 pairs of Celestion 100s from him, both that he had just replaced with NEW (old stock) tweeters that he had from his days as a rep for the company. Anyone who knows the Model 100, knows that finding speakers without smashed in tweeters (the 2 little protection bars over the domes didnt protect too well), is extremely rare, so I jumped at the chance. The Seller was the original owner and told me even though the woofers still look almost new, they are the originals.

The speakers have no grilles, but were shipped from the UK with magnetic metal covers that protected the tweeters, which I will be using to ship to winning bidder (see last picture).

Cabinets have some scrapes, scratches, scuffs etc. but overall they still look good. I have seen plenty of Model 100s on ebay with Sellers asking 5, 6, $700 or more for speakers that I would consider to be in poor condition, so I hope you appreciate my quality, with no-reserve starting price.

The original very thin gauge, bi-wire jumpers have been replaced with thick high quality jumpers (see pic of rear speaker).

I have tried to contain shipping costs, but they are heavy and will have to be shipped in two separate cartons, packed and shipped professionally.

Shipping to the continental US only (sorry no Alaska or Hawaii), to PayPal verified addresses only. CA. residents add sales tax. I reserve the right to use either FedEx ground or UPS ground for shipping.
