1970's Gibson USA SG Custom Standard Junior Jr Pro Factory Electric Guitar Case

Description

This listing is for a nice vintage factory original Gibson SG Soft Shell guitar case with the Gibson logo on the lid.  
It has a classic black exterior with a very nice red interior and an arched top lid for added protection.  

Like any used vintage case this one is not perfect, but its in good shape, especially for being about 35 to 45 years old.
All of the hasps and hinges as well as the handle work fine.  The interior is very clean and in excellent condition.  The accessory pocket and the lid for it is intact.  The small pull tab is wore, but it still works.  The exterior has some small scuffs and scratches but nothing major.   The exterior has normal scuffs and scratches.  Theres a residue spot on the top of the lid where it appears a sticker once was, but it may come off with some lacquer thinner or solvent etc.   Some of the edging on the top and back has come loose but it was reglued so the case is intact.  Theres some glue residue, but its not that bad.  The stitching has come loose on the plastic edging around the lid, and back, but again, it has all been glued down so the case is solid.  Overall, the case is in very good shape but some Armour All would really make it look nice.  However, since this is a vintage case, well leave that up to the new owner.        
The case will work with any of the Epiphone or Gibson SG Flametop Flame top ReIssue Custom Shop Historic Pro Special Standard Supreme Junior Jr or Ultima type electric guitars, as well as many other models and brands, with an SG body style. 

Although the case was made for an SG ( or a Double Cutaway SG style Les Paul ) a Nighthawk Night Hawk Blues Hawk or BluesHawk may also fit inside it.

It will also work with a Les Paul but ONLY on the Les Pauls with the double cutaway 1960s SG style body, like the 1961 1962 1963 1964 1965 1966 and 1967 models.   And the Custom Shop Les Paul SG type guitars from the same (ReIssue) years, will also fit perfect.  A standard single cutaway Les Paul will not work, but we have the case for that guitar, listed on another eBay auction.

These are the approximate inside dimensions.

The lower bout is 12-3/4"
The upper bout is 10-1/2"
The overall length is 40-1/2"
The depth is 2-1/4" and theres another 1" or so in the lid

If you have a vintage SG you really need the original case, to maintain the maximum value and collect ability of your instrument.   And of course, the case will look great with your guitar displayed in it.
