DescriptionThis listing is for an extremely rare, factory original Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Hard Shell guitar case with the original Gold Gibson " Custom Art And Historic" logo on the lid.
The case would make a great, and very unique gift for any collector of Gibson Les Paul guitars or PlayBoy Memorabilia.
As they say, this one is for the guy, that has everything.
It was custom built for one of the super rare 50 Limited Edition Gibson Playboy Bunny Head model Les Pauls that were built in July of 2001 and the case is in great shape, especially for being 15 years old.
The Play Boy Les Paul guitars sold out very quickly in 2001 and they were priced at $10,000.00 each.
However, we just saw one for sale and it was $75,000.00.
Gibson also made just 50 of the Playmate Of The Year Model Les Pauls in 2001 and this case would be perfect for one of those too.
A standard Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul case has a burgundy interior but this one was custom built with a super plush crushed velvet black interior. These cases are made by TKL and the quality is unsurpassed.
Its basically the same case that came with the older R5 R6 R7 R8 R9 and R0 model Custom Shop ReIssue Les Pauls but again, this one was special made for one of the fifty Playboy model Les Pauls.
Most of these cases stay with the guitars, so youll rarely see one for sale.
This one came with a 2001 Playboy model Les Paul that was sold earlier and I believe the original owner opted for an Anvil road case.
The case has been stored in a private collection so its still in excellent condition. From just a few feet away, it looks new. The small metal feet on the bottom are all intact. All of the hasps and hinges work fine as well as the handle. The inside of the case is also like new and in near mint condition. The accessory pocket is also fully intact and it works fine.
Theres a factory combination lock on the side and it also woks great.
The case will work with any right hand or left handed RH LH Epiphone or Gibson LesPaul R5 R6 R8 R9 R0 1955 1956 1957 1958 1959 1960 Flametop Flame top ReIssue Custom Shop Class 5 Elegant Historic Pro Special Standard Supreme Junior Jr or Ultima type electric guitars as well as many other models and brands.
Normally, the factory Gibson Custom Shop Art and Historic logo on the lid is in gold, but these 50 cases were produced with a silver logo to match the silver Playboy BunnyHead .
