JACKSON FUSION PRO XL 1991 MIJ ELECTRIC GUITAR

Up for auction is my 1991 JACKSON FUSION XL PRO guitar in Cherry Sunburst, made in Japan.

This one I bought new, back in December 1991 in Norway and has been one of my main axes for the next fourteen years, up to 2005. It has travelled with me touring all across Europe, surviving Scandinavian storms to Mediterranean heat....  and being 25 years old, in fact is in very good state and plays like dream.

Single piece super-strat basswood body with flame maple veneers, 24.75" quarter-sawn maple neck with ebony fingerboard, recently refretted with Dunlop 9100 jumbo, to replace worn stock frets, so there is no fret wear at all  and this neck is joy to run on !!!  Brand new German-made Schaller Floyd Rose with 37mm. block is fitted to replace naturally worn stock one of the same made and brand. The guitar is factory equipped with ultra-rare Reflex Silver Series pickups - visual H-S-S, but the "singles" are vertical double-stack humbuckers, so practically pickups are configured as H-H-H ! There is an onboard Jackson Black Box active Preamp circuit, with mid and high frequencies incr./decr. from center-dented pots, beside volume. Action is indecently low and variety of sounds you can get out of the guitar are endless.... Many has determined USA and Japanese Jacksons as ultimate shredders guitars, I would say with this one in hands, you can cover virtually every music style.

As for its age, the guitar has its small and insignificant blemishes, but nothing to affect its playability or stability:

- hair-thin 1/2" longitudinal crack backside just bellow peghead - professionally touched and fixed by luthier in Germany.

- some light scratches over the peghead edges.

- normal lacquer swirl and one small ding on the body.
