Product Description
Up for sale is this incredibly rare 1980s Samick Super Strat in a beautiful purple and pink crackle finish! I dont know the make or where it was made as it does not come up online. The guitar, although not made to any very high quality standards, is extremely versatile and plays as good as some $1500 guitars I own.
It has some really cool features as well that you wont find on many modern guitars, it has on/off switches for each pickup instead of a three way toggle switch which allows you to activate multiple pickups at once and create some really nice different sounding tones! It also has a coil splitter which splits the humbucker to a single coil sound.
The guitar is in almost perfect condition with the only major damage being the small chip as pictured, would rate the condition 9/10
Its playability is pretty much perfect as well, it sustains very nicely and is effortless to create natural/pinch harmonics that sustain for a long time. The only problem which is common on many guitars with licensed floyd roses instead of real ones is they dont work very well. The guitar holds tuning perfectly even when heavily picked and played (Ive used it live about 7 times and it hasnt had any problems so far), it would just be better to either buy a better floyd rose if you wanted it to be able to dive bomb but its better to use it how it is as it works more then fine. I would rate its playability 8.5/10
The guitar feels very similar to a Jackson or Charvel fusion guitar from the early 90s with the neck being pretty much identical as the fusions as well. Its weight is around 3kg so its a bit heavier then a Jackson, but not by much. The neck is easily its best feature and is extremely nice to play.
It has all original parts except for a bit rail in the neck position (Im not to sure what brand it is but it looks expensive and sounds really nice). The guitar is set up with low action.
Im selling very reluctantly as I love this guitar but Im just not a fan of 22 frets, if it had 24 I would be keeping it! This guitar is seriously nice and I really think Samick go underrated as this guitar is incredible for an inexpensive instrument and wont disappoint!
I dont have a case but Im willing to ship in a simple guitar box packed very tightly to ensure its safety!
If you have an many further questions feel free to ask! Im happy to send you videos of the guitar being played if you want to see it in action! I will also get the best postage price possible for you (ignore the price it shows you its just a rough estimate) or Im happy for it to be picked up locally!
Thanks for looking and grab this gem before it disappears!
