From his days with The Yardbirds starting in 1965 to two different Jeff Beck Group incarnations, which the first was the template for Jimmy Pages Led Zeppelin, to his amazing jazz fusion masterpieces "Blow by Blow"released in 1975 and the follow up "Wired"released the following year….Thats just a glimpse at the early years of Jeffs career, I could go on forever, but this is not a book its an eBay listing lol.
This is a custom made one of a kind relic guitar was built by Wayne Charvel , if you dont know who he, look him up. and here are the specs:
Body Wood: Alder
Finish: Nitrocellulose Lacquer (Extreme Relic)
Color: Daphne blue
Neck Wood: Maple with Rosewood Fretboard with Clay Dots
Frets: 22
Tuners: Reliced
Tremelo: Standard Reliced
Pick Ups: DiMarzio
Comes with the guitar case pictured.
*Note The water slide decal was added later on and it is not a Stratocaster.
Jeff, did not own this guitar. It was made for someone else who later met Jeff in 2006 at a private meeting with him arranged by Fender Guitar. As you can see in the photos Jeff played it (he LOVED the guitar) and signed it.
On a personal note. I have to say that this guitars neck has an incredible feel to it, I cant describe the work that went into making this masterpiece.
If this guitar was plated and signed byEric Clapton or Jimmy Page it would sell for over $20,000 easily….Lets put things into perspective….Clapton and Page know who the better guitar player of the three is, I dont have to say no more.
This is a steal at this price! Winning bidder gets all the photographs as well as a letter from the original owner of the guitar explaining all the pertinent information to their meeting with Jeff.
