For decades now, the most requested Charvel guitar ever is a Jake E Lee signature model based on the distinctive white "Charvel-ized" instrument the great guitarist has played ever since he bought it new back in 1975. With this special guitar, from his first notable successes in the early 1980s through an acclaimed career that continues today with Red Dragon Cartel, Lee remains an admired and influential musicians musician. It is with great pride, then, that Charvel now introduces the first instrument in the Jake E Lee Signature series, the Charvel JEL Signature Pearl White guitar.

About Us
In 1986 I graduated from Dean College in Franklin, MA. with a major in guitar and a minor in small business management, then my local music store hired me. Yay! I ended up working at that shop for 11 years on and off doing everything from sales, management, accounting, advertising, stockboy, janitor... you name it, I did it.
During the 11 years I spent learning the ropes of music retail, I was also an active performer. In 1987 I was a member of Adam Bomb on Geffen Records and in 1988 I took a year off to attend Musicians Institute (GIT) in Hollywood, CA. Since then Ive been lucky enough to share stages with Dio, Stryper, Kings X, Yngwie Malmsteen, Ratt, Planet X, Skid Row, Rob Halford, Queensryche and even Iron Maiden, when my band toured as their opening act in 2000.
In 1996 the opportunity to open my own music store presented itself and with the support of vendors and customers alike, I opened Matts Music Center on November 6th, 1996. My staff and I have come a long way since 96 and my little shop, isnt so little any more. Weve grown because we offer super competitive prices on great products and we back it all up with service thats better than our competition. Simple as that!
I still play today, when schedules allow it I record and perform with my band Machines of Grace, featuring some members of The Trans Siberian Orchestra. I also gig almost every weekend with my cover band "Flashmob", so Im always trying out new gear in a live atmosphere. My years of performing and studying music have taught me whats important and I always try to run my business by the golden rule of "treat people how I want to be treated". Hard to believe but Ive been working in musical instrument retail for 24 years and Ive been playing guitar for 32 years. Im happy to put my experience to work for you!
