This Blackstar is a tonal monster designed specifically to be the ideal amp for effects pedals and studio work.

Pushing 30-watts of all-tube tone through its two 12" Celestion V-Type speakers, the two 12AX7 preamp and two 6L6 power tubes produce tones ranging from glistening cleans to classic overdrives and distortions. 

The  two channel design is kept simple for unobstructed tone. Channel one has controls for Volume and Tone. At low setting it yields pristine clean tones. Increase the volume and a natural breakup occurs perfect for blues and roots rock. Channel Two has Gain and Volume allowing greater degrees of true tube overdrive and distortion. 

Blackstars unique ISF control allows adjustment of the overall amp color going from a more American characteristic, with a tight bottom end and aggressive middle, to a British character with a more woody, less brutal tone.

The Artist 30s pure tone is perfect for those who run pedals into the front of their amps. The lower gain nature of the amp allows for the character of your favorite overdrive and distortion pedals to work more organically, thereby retaining the wonderful sounds you call your own. And the lower power of 30 watts allows you to run the amp into the zone where the power tubes go into overdrive producing the open warmth of legendary amp stacks but at a volume perfect for studios and club dates.
