We believe this amp to be an early-70s (Birch-Stolec Ltd Era). This would make it quite a RARE version, as to our knowledge, only 380 were made under these specs. Overall, its in exceptional condition, especially considering its age. The tolex is the basketweave texture, and is in stellar condition with only a few bumps and bruises, but nothing too major or too noticeable. There is a section on one of the sides of the cabinet that has an "L" shaped seam from what looks like a tear in the tolex has been re-glued to the cabinet... its approximately 2"x1". The grill cloth is clean, with not much wear and tear... and no rips. There are a few solder points that appear to be newer, like the foot switch cable PCB connection... Though the foot switch itself appears to be original. There are also a few capacitors that appear to have been replaced. The speakers appear to be non-original Celestion G 12 M Greenbacks T1221 (25 Watts / 16 ohms), though the date code "S 6CB" isnt a code were familiar with... so unfortunately we cant date them. This era AC30 would most likely have come with silver Celestion G12 Alnico speakers. The rear serial plate has serial # 1126. The power cable has been replaced by a 3-prong. Comes with newer heavy duty Vox vinyl cover. We can send additional photos upon request.
