Not only does it have the synth mod but the stock Distortion is greatly upgraded as well. Its no longer hollow or thin. Its vibrant and has a think crunch to it. Very cool pedal. -----------------The backbone  of this Synth Mod is a modified DS-1 with amazing distortion tones, improved response, and enough range to do it all.But we didn’t stop there, thatd be crazy of us. We added 3 synth switches to the pedal that allow for unique tone shaping capabilities you will ever see in one pedal. These switches, used individually or together, yield everything from lo-fo overdrive, fuzz, synth droning, octave distortion, ring modulation type frequencies and much, much, more!----------------
