Product Description
This is the complete SUPRO "OZARK" pickup assembly.This has "THE SOUND" as used by Ry Cooder, David Lindley, Arlen Roth and so many moreBrochures and the serial # plate date this as a 1959. The pickup, volume and tone controls and jack are all mounted on a metal plate.The pots look to be Jensen pots from the 41st and 52nd week of 1948, maybe it was old stock, but you make the call based on the imprint on the pots as shown in pictures 3 & 4. The capacitor is a .05 foil capacitor.Copies of original ad and articles are pictures 9-10-11 and picture 12 shows Arlen Roth with the Supro pickup assembly installed in a Stratocaster.Sale includes the pickup assembly. "Ozark" pickguard, Supro logo plate, and serial # plate (T15988) as shown in picture 1
In the mid 70s I was asked to take out this assembly, and put a humbucker in, etc etc and I kept the pickup assembly. Im not going to be using it so after resting for 40+ years its time that someone else should be using it
